GCCNS prides itself on the commitment and dedication of our teaching staff. We have had the honor of supporting teachers throughout their entire careers, and have benefited greatly from the continuity of their tenure. Our entire staff is devoted to educating children and supporting young families, maintaining a high standard of instruction through course studies and ongoing workshops and seminars. We are proud of our staff for providing the programs that are essential for young children to grow and learn.
Marcia Kiraly, Director
Marcia received her M.A. in Education from Ball State University. She has been involved in Education since 1981. She spent sixteen years teaching Family Consumer Science in the public schools, had an in-home daycare for ten years, and is presently an adjunct instructor at Oakton Community College in the Early Childhood Education and Psychology departments. Marcia and her family are longtime residents of Glenview and are members of GCC. She and her husband have two daughters who are graduates of Iowa State University and are both teachers. Together their family enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing, biking, walking, and playing with their two dogs. Marcia has enjoyed her role as the director of GCCNS since 2005.
Julie Evans, Administrative Assistant & Spanish Enrichment Teacher
Julie received her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Iowa and also attended the Universidad de San Sebastián while living in Spain. During her time abroad, she became fluent in the language and immersed herself in the culture. After that, she became the Director of Latin American Sales for a manufacturing company. She lives in Glenview with her husband and two children, where she tutors children in Spanish and teaches Spanish at GCCNS. Julie has been with GCCNS since 2012.
Dale Wittenberg, Accountant
Dale received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-La-Crosse and his MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota. After a twenty-five year career with Hewlett Packard Company, Dale retired in order to concentrate more on golf, tennis, and the fine art of backyard leisure! Dale soon discovered that all play and no work isn’t the right formula for a balanced, challenging lifestyle, so he now works part time for GCCNS and for Palatine Hills Golf Course having achieved just the right mix of work and play! Dale and his wife, Emily, reside in Palatine and have three children. They now take great delight in watching their granddaughter grow and discover new wonders day by day. Dale has been with GCCNS since 2012.
Andrea Beach, Junior Team Teacher
Andrea has her B.S. in Early Childhood Education form the University of Delaware. Andrea has taught in public schools in Long Island, New York and San Antonio, Texas as well as in preschool in Washington State while her husband served in the Army. She has also taught at GCCNS for a year in 2004 before having her second child. She enjoys running, hiking, reading and baking. Andrea lives in Glenview with her husband, three children and their family dog. Andrea has been teaching at GCCNS since 2013.
Debbie Berg, Music & Enrichment Teacher
Debbie received her B.S. and M.S. from the University of Illinois in Speech and Hearing Science. She has been on staff at Lake Forest Hospital as a speech and language therapist for over twenty-five years. She is also a music teacher with Creative Kids Corner. Debbie has her teaching certificate for Learning Behavior Specialist One and teaches music in our GCCNS classrooms as well as during enrichment classes. Debbie and her husband Doug, are members of GCC and live in Glenview with their three children – two are alums of GCCNS! In her spare time Debbie enjoys playing tennis, yoga, volunteering, and attending her children’s activities. Debbie looks forward to attending Fighting Illini football games in the Fall. Debbie has been with GCCNS since 2003.
Kathy Cepa, Senior Team Teacher
Kathy comes to GCCNS with 25 years of experience with children in a variety of settings! She has 58 hours in ECE from Oakton Community College, experience working in a Daycare setting and she ran an In-home Daycare for 15 years. Mrs. Cepa grew up in Glenview and she and her husband have raised their 4 children in Glenview and are proud grandparents to their grandsons. Kathy has been teaching at GCCNS since 2005.
Sara DiCesare “Ms. D”, On My Own Teacher
Ms. D comes to GCCNS with an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education from Oakton Community College and will complete her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology from National Lewis University in January 2017. She has been working as the Assistant to the Director of Religious Education at OLPH since 2009 as well as working with adults with special needs at St. Catherine Laboure. She has also served as part-time nanny to several families within the Glenview community. Ms. D brings positive energy and fresh new ideas to our school and is looking forward to working with the GCCNS children and families. She has been teaching at GCCNS since 2015.
Laura Dillon, Just 2s, Seniors, & KinderQuest Teacher
Laura comes to GCCNS with a M.A. in Elementary Education from National Louis University. She taught for 14 years in Kenilworth. Laura teaches on the Senior team well as the Just 2’s class on Friday and KinderQuest. She and her husband live in Glenview. They enjoy their three children, all of whom are alums of GCCNS! In her spare time Laura enjoys playing golf, scrapbooking, reading, spending time with her family, and taking walks with her dog, Wilson. Laura has been teaching at GCCNS since 2006.
Marci Hartley, Junior Team Teacher
Marci has her BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Marci joined us after five years of teaching experience in the Chicago Public School system, New York City Public School system, and a private school in Seattle. She enjoys running, golfing, boating, biking, playing tennis, and reading. Marci lives in Glenview with her husband, two daughters, and their family dog. Marci has been teaching at GCCNS since 2007.
Sally Hinz, Senior team & Enrichment Teacher
Sally received her B.A. degree in Family Development from the University of Iowa. She has over 25 years of Early Childhood Education experience including 11 years at Lutheran General Children’s Daycare. Sally and her husband have three children and are long-time residents of Glenview. Sally enjoys gardening and reading. Their daughter is an alumna of GCCNS. Sally has been teaching at GCCNS since 1997.
Camille Lombardo, On My Own & Enrichment Teacher
Camille comes to GCCNS with Early Childhood Education coursework from Oakton Community College, 12 years of Preschool teaching experience and 21 years of in-home day care experience. She earned her CDA in February of 2012. For seven years, Camille was our beloved “Sitter Service Lady” as well as a permanent substitute in the classrooms, working extensively with the On My Own team. Camille also taught the Parent/Tot program with Carol Schmitt. Camille teaches all sections of On My Own. Camille and her husband live in Glenview where they have raised their four children and have seven grandchildren. In her spare time, Camille enjoys swimming in her pool and relaxing with a good book! Camille has been teaching at GCCNS since 2006.
Meredith McKinley, Juniors, Just 2’s, and Enrichment Teacher
Meredith comes to GCCNS with a B.A. from Denison University and a M.Ed. from DePaul University in Elementary Education. Meredith has taught 1st-2nd grades, as well as taught summer camp programs. Meredith teaches on the Junior Team as well as the Just 2’s class on Friday. She and her husband live in Glenview with their three children – all of whom attended GCCNS! Meredith is an avid runner who also plays tennis, enjoys reading, biking, and spending time with her family. Meredith has been teaching at GCCNS since 2009.
Kimberly Mooshil, Senior team & KinderQuest Teacher
Kim is a student at Northeastern Illinois University continuing her studies in Early Childhood Education. She has extensive volunteer experience on the preschool level and has also taught an art class at a private school in Chicago. Kim loves working with preschoolers and planning classroom activities – especially art projects. She enjoys reading, scrapbooking and spending time with her family. She lives on the northwest side of Chicago with her husband and their daughter. Kim has been teaching at GCCNS since 2003.
Judy Nuccio, Junior Team Teacher
Judy received her B.A. degree in Education from Northeastern Illinois University. She taught in a suburban parochial school for seven years before leaving to start a family. She and her husband are longtime residents of Glenview and have two children, both alums of GCCNS. The quality, nurturing environment she and her children experienced at GCCNS prompted Judy to resume her teaching career at GCCNS. Judy has been teaching at GCCNS since 1993.
